Move into March with Ballet West II

Enjoy an eclectic repertoire of classical and modern ballet pieces beautifully performed by talented dancers as OSU Allied Arts welcomes Ballet West II to Stillwater on Tuesday, March 3, at 8 p.m. in the Seretean Center Concert Hall.

Ballet West II is a company of 11 performers with its own distinct repertoire of youth and spontaneity. Recognized as an American Pioneer in the world of dance, this company may be familiar for its reality TV show “Breaking Pointe,” which aired for two seasons on The CW Network. Established in 1963 as an elite academy for young artists, it currently boasts two prestigious touring companies.

“We are excited to end our season with the elegant performances of Ballet West II,” said Brandon Mitts, manager of Allied Arts and special events. “Enjoy the art of dance from a company known for versatile artists and a dynamic American style and legacy, without the long drive that usually involves.”

Tickets for Ballet West II are $18 for adults and $10 for children 12 and under. Tickets can be purchased online at alliedarts.okstate.edu. Tickets will be available at the Seretean Center Concert Hall the evening of the performance starting at 6:30. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. For more information or to purchase tickets, call Allied Arts at 405-744-7509.

Ballet West II’s performance is the final of six that were featured during the 2014-2015 OSU Allied Arts series. For decades, the Allied Arts office has brought top-notch talent to the OSU campus to enrich the lives of students through the arts.
