The College of Engineering, Architecture and Technology recently partnered with the Institute for Teaching and Learning Excellence (ITLE) to sponsor a teaching workshop.
Richard Felder and Rebecca Brent, authors of “Teaching and Learning STEM: A Practical Guide,” (published in 2016) presented the workshop to more than 65 CEAT faculty and ITLE staff.
“OSU and CEAT value good teaching practices, and we want to make sure that our faculty is aware of the most up-to-date pedagogical techniques,” says Heather Yates, construction management technology professor. “CEAT plans to continue offering opportunities to sharpen teaching skills.”
Together, Felder and Brent have presented over 450 workshops on effective teaching, active learning and STEM faculty development.
