Individuals and organizations will be honored at Oklahoma State University’s annual President’s Leadership and Service Recognition Reception April 12. The annual event is hosted by the Department of Leadership & Campus Life and the Center for Ethical Leadership and features OSU President Burns Hargis.

The purpose of the reception is to acknowledge individuals and organizations for the service and guidance they provide to the university through the year. Nominations for eight different staff/faculty and student awards may be submitted until Friday, April 1 at 5 p.m. The President’s Leadership and Service Recognition Reception is important to reinforcing success through recognition and encouraging leaders by raising the bar.

Ruthie Loffi, administrative associate to the Department of Leadership and Campus Life director, said the department is excited to host its prestigious annual President’s Leadership and Service Recognition Reception.

“As part of the program each year, we honor an outstanding member of faculty or staff and/or an outstanding student,” Loffi said. “This event allows us to honor and acknowledge leadership and service from wherever it might come- Greek Life to Residential Life, non-traditional, international and everything in between.”

Areas of nomination for 2016-2017 include Outstanding Doctoral Student, Outstanding Doctoral Student Self-Nomination, Outstanding Faculty, Outstanding Masters Student, Outstanding Masters Student Self-Nomination, Outstanding Staff, Outstanding Student and Outstanding Student Organization Advisor.
