Oklahoma State University exceeded its $250,000 United Way campaign goal with the total approaching $260,000.

The OSU campaign, which kicked off in September, helped the community exceed its area-wide United Way goal of $900,000, allowing United Way to better serve its 22 partner agencies in Payne County.

Jorge Atiles, associate dean of the College of Human Sciences and this year’s OSU campaign chair, credited the community for helping the United Way achieve its goal.

“As the largest employer in Stillwater, OSU has a role to play and give back to our home community,” Atiles said. “As employees, we can ensure that our community remains a positive influence for our children, our families and our neighbors.”

Although the campaign reached its goal, donations to the United Way are accepted throughout the year and can be made online at stillwaterunitedway.org/donate. For more information about the OSU campaign, please visit unitedway.okstate.edu.
