Annual holiday wreath sale underway

Monday, November 24, 2014

Sales benefit the OSU chapter of Society of American Foresters

The annual holiday wreath sale is underway at Oklahoma State University and on-campus deliveries will continue through finals week, Dec. 12.

The 20-inch, handcrafted wreaths are made with foliage from noble fir, juniper and incense cedar and accented with ponderosa pine cones and cost $25.

The money earned from the wreath sale will go toward funding club activities for the OSU chapter of the Society of American Foresters, such as attending the national organization’s annual professional meeting in Baton Rouge, Louisiana next year.

“It’s a tradition – an annual thing,” said Cody Woolly, a forestry senior and current president of the organization.  “We have people who are regular customers. They come to us every year.”

The organization will continue to sell wreaths until they sell out. The wreaths are from the Owasso Christmas Tree Farm and Berry Farm in Owasso.

The Society for American Foresters strives to advance science, technology, education and practice of professional forestry in America, while creating networking and professional development opportunities for its members.
