Artist and scholar from Turkey reception and exhibit

The works of visiting artist and scholar C. Arzu Aytekin  from Turkey will be featured in an exhibit called “Plastic Pictographs” in the basement of the Student Union through April 1. The public is invited to a reception for the artist set for Thursday, March 14, at 3 p.m. in the Student Union basement right after the Student Union Art Awards.

Arzu has a masters and doctorate in education and  teaches studio art and design courses at her home university in Turkey, where she prefers to be called a course lecturer and thesis advisor. She is spending the spring semester at the OSU Department of Art, Graphic Design and  Art History to learn more about the American higher education process.
