The Oklahoma Geological Foundation awarded grants to 10 students from the Boone Pickens School of Geology at a banquet on May 3.
The Oklahoma Geological Foundation Field Camp Grant is a $750 award given to students attending the Les Huston Field Camp in Cañon City, Colorado, May 29-June 30. The summer of 2023 will mark the 74th annual field camp, a six-credit-hour course offered by the department.
“I am so proud of our students,” said Dr. Camelia Knapp, Boone Pickens School of Geology department head. “Our undergraduate and graduate students have worked extremely hard and this recognition is well deserved.”
Students from several colleges and departments attended the banquet and were recognized for their work. The Oklahoma Geological Foundation is a supporter of the Boone Pickens School of Geology and furthering earth science education. To learn more about the foundation, visit their website.
