On Aug. 14, Oklahoma State University’s Gardiner Gallery of Art opened “24 Works on Paper,” a traveling art exhibition by the Oklahoma Visual Arts Coalition.

This biennial exhibition features art by living Oklahoma artists, created on paper using diverse media that include printmaking, drawing, painting and photography. The show will travel to 10 locations across the state in order to bring original, Oklahoman-made artwork to viewers in communities large and small.

“We are excited to share ‘24 Works on Paper’ with the people of Stillwater,” said Keri Smith, programs and exhibitions manager for OVAC. “Connecting artists with communities across the state is crucial to our mission. Several outstanding Stillwater artists are included in the exhibition, making it even more relevant.”

OSU-affiliated artists featured in the show include Department of Art, Graphic Design and Art History faculty member Molly Kaderka, studio art student Nayelly Morales Rojo and studio art alumnus Taylor Graham.

“24 Works on Paper” was curated by Michael R. Grauer, McCasland Chair of Cowboy Culture and curator of Cowboy Collections and Western Art at the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum. It will be on view at the Gardiner Gallery through Sept. 8, with a reception on Tuesday, Aug. 22, from 5 to 7 p.m.

The complete exhibition schedule and online educational lesson plans and videos can be found at www.24works.org. Artwork in the exhibition is available for sale. For more information about “24 Works on Paper,” contact Keri Smith at keri@ovac-ok.org.
