Thursday, August 22, 2019

The School of Accounting in the Spears School of Business is being recognized as one of the best in the United States by its peers in the Public Accounting Report 38th Annual Professors Survey – 2019.

The School of Accounting ranks No. 19 nationally among the Top 50 Undergraduate Rankings for undergraduate programs with 17 to 23 full-time accounting faculty. In addition, the Oklahoma State University program is No. 38 in the Top 50 Master’s Ranking of all schools, and 14th nationally for master’s programs with 17 to 23 full-time accounting faculty.

“I am so proud of the hard work of our accounting students and faculty,” said Audrey Gramling, head of the School of Accounting. “This national and regional recognition highlights that our undergraduate and master’s programs are successful elements as we strive to build the future of accounting at Oklahoma State University.”

In addition, the OSU accounting program stood out – No. 14 in the undergraduate rankings and No. 10 of master’s programs – among schools in the 15-state West region (Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Oregon, Texas, Utah, Washington and Wyoming).

This year marks the third time in the past four rankings that OSU’s undergraduate and master’s programs were recognized among the nation’s best.

The Public Accounting Report 38th Annual Professors Survey – 2019 is the nation’s only survey that allows accounting professors to rank the nation’s best accounting programs. The annual survey provides faculty from across the United States with an avenue to express their views to accounting firms about campus recruiting. Nearly 1,000 accounting professors from approximately 200 U.S. colleges and universities participated in the survey. The survey was open to professors of accounting at U.S. colleges and universities that offer at least one accounting degree.
