For the second year in a row, Oklahoma State University students in the Human Resources Management Association have been recognized with the Student Chapter Merit Award by the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) for providing superior growth and development opportunities to chapter members.
“The SHRM Student Chapter Merit Award is an indication of the level of commitment and dedication that the officers provide to this student organization,” said Dr. Evan Davis, Spears Business assistant professor of professional practice and director of human resource management programs. “To receive the award two years in a row is a testament to the continued efforts of these outstanding individuals and I could not be prouder of their efforts to provide meaningful opportunities to HR students at Oklahoma State University.”
The Spears Business SHRM chapter is led by Becky Brown, president, Michelle Leonard, vice president, Kyra Bonath, treasurer, and Anna Matzkvech, secretary. SHRM created the student chapter merit award to recognize excellence in chapter operations and programming, member professional development and support of the human resource profession. The OSU chapter earned its award for activities completed from April 1, 2018 to March 31, 2019.
