Dr. So recognized on Clarivate’s Highly Cited Researchers list for second straight year

For the second consecutive year, associate professor Dr. Kevin So of the Spears School of Business Hospitality and Tourism Management program was named to Clarivate’s worldwide list of Highly Cited Researchers.

Just under 7,000 total researchers across 70 countries earned a spot on the elite Clarivate list, including just 27 at Big 12 institutions. So is one of just two faculty members at Oklahoma State University to earn this distinction from Clarivate, a renowned data and analytics firm from London.

“Dr. So is one of the most prolific researchers in our discipline and this achievement is a testament of his research engagement,” said Dr. Brij Thapa, head of the School of Hospitality and Tourism Management. “He is a highly sought-after speaker, collaborator and mentor, and as a program we are very proud for his recognition. We appreciate his regular contribution to the scholarly field and his part in enhancing our reputation nationally and globally.”

The Highly Cited Researcher list identifies scientists and social scientists who have demonstrated significant influence through publication of multiple highly cited papers during the last decade. The 2022 list identifies researchers who produced multiple papers ranking in the top one percent by citations for their chosen field or fields published between 2011-21.
