The 2023 U.S. News & World Report Best Colleges rankings were released this week and Oklahoma State University’s undergraduate business program improved its national ranking among more than 500 programs, jumping into the top 15% of accredited U.S. business schools rated.
The Spears School of Business undergraduate program ranked 73rd, a jump of 11 spots from its 2022 position of 84th. U.S. News surveyed deans and senior faculty members of all 516 undergraduate business programs accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) to reach its ranking list. These deans and faculty members – two at each AACSB-accredited business program – were asked to rate the quality of all programs with which they were familiar, which determined the peer assessment score for each institution. Average scores were then sorted and programs were ranked in descending order based on the average peer-assessment score.
“We are excited to see that Spears Business continues to garner the respect of our peers,” said Dean Ken Eastman. “The jump in our rankings is a testament to the dedication of our faculty and staff and their commitment to our students’ development. We will continue our quest to provide the best possible education and experience to all of our students.”
The improved OSU undergraduate business program ranking comes on the heels of the 2022 U.S. News ranking for the Spears Business full-time MBA program, which was 28th nationally. The Spears Business online graduate business program (non-MBA) tied for 38th and the college was recognized as a top 20 online MBA program for veterans as well.
