The Oklahoma Society of Certified Public Accountants (OSCPA) will present Oklahoma State University Spears School of Business graduate Brianna Lake with the Silver Medal Award for her accomplishments on the CPA Exam.

The OSCPA Silver Medal award is conferred to the candidate with the highest score on all four parts of the CPA Exam within two consecutive windows. Lake will be formally recognized by the OSCPA at their New CPA Ceremony on Dec. 2.

“I am incredibly honored to represent OSU’s Master’s in Accounting program as a recipient of the OSCPA Silver Medal Award,” Lake said. “This award would not be possible without program coordinator Rachel Domnick’s guidance and mentorship, our professors and their willingness to challenge us, and the constant support and encouragement of my family and classmates.”

A native of Piedmont, Oklahoma, Lake needed just three years to complete her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in accounting from OSU, finishing in August 2023. She collected a host of honors during her time in Stillwater, including Mortar Board Top 10 Freshman Woman (Fall 2021), OSU Alumni Association Senior of Significance (Fall 2021), Spears Outstanding Senior (Spring 2022) and Top 5 Accounting Senior (Spring 2022). Lake also interned with the Department of Justice and Ernst & Young during her time at Spears Business.

Lake completed all four CPA exams in under two months while also working three days per week at an accounting firm. She is currently a first-year law student at the University of Oklahoma and plans to work in tax or family law after graduation in May 2026.

“I remember working with Brianna in her first semester at OSU and how impressed I was with her; I was blown away when I got to know her,” said Domnick, an instructor of professional practice and the master’s program coordinator for OSU’s School of Accounting. “Few can do what Brianna has done. She is an exceptional individual who has worked hard to achieve so much, and I have unwavering confidence that she has a bright future. I am thrilled for her to receive this recognition.”

Formed in 1918, the OSCPA is the official statewide professional organization for Oklahoma CPAs. The group unites and supports over 6,000 CPAs across the state in public practice, private industry, government and education.
