Spears faculty honored at 2023 university awards convocation

Recently, Dr. Jeanette Mendez, Oklahoma State University provost, acknowledged the achievements of faculty staff and administrators during the 2023 University Awards Convocation.

Nominations were submitted by colleagues and supervisors across 25 different categories, including the Eminent Faculty award which recognizes the highest level of scholarly achievement at OSU. This year, Dr. Dursun Delen from the Spears School of Business’ Department of Management Science and Information Systems was honored with the award recognizing his sustained contributions to scholarly creative activity, instruction and service, bringing honor and recognition to the university.

“I’m extremely honored to receive this award,” Delen said. “It illustrates that my colleagues and leaders recognize value in my work in artificial intelligence, machine learning and healthcare. I’ve been very fortunate to be involved in projects that are actually changing the world in a positive way.”
