Five Spears Business students selected as OSU Outstanding Seniors

Five Spears School of Business students have been selected as Oklahoma State University Outstanding Seniors for the 2025-26 academic year by the OSU Alumni Association.
The OSU Outstanding Seniors award recognizes seniors who show excellence through academic achievement, campus and community involvement, academic, athletic or extracurricular honors or awards, scholarships and work ethic during their time at OSU. In all 23 OSU students across campus earned Outstanding Seniors recognition, and only the College of Arts and Sciences had more honorees with six.
"We're incredibly proud of these five outstanding students who represent the best of Spears Business,” said Dr. Jim Payne, dean of Spears Business. “To have five of the 23 Outstanding Seniors come from our college reflects the strength of our programs and the dedication of our faculty who mentor and challenge students to reach their full potential. Ashlyn, Trevor, Amanda, Addy and Sydney have excelled not only academically but through their leadership and service to our campus. They exemplify what we hope for in our graduates — individuals who are prepared to make a difference in their professions and communities. Congratulations to each of them on this well-deserved recognition."
The OSU Outstanding Seniors from the Spears of School Business are listed below with their major(s) and hometown.
- Ashlyn Caldwell — Tulsa, management information systems and data analytics
- Trevor Friesen — Edmond, management, marketing and international business
- Amanda Hess — McLean, Texas, accounting
- Addy Irwin — Wauconda, Illinois, entrepreneurship
- Sydney Martens — Fairview, marketing, communications management and English
The Alumni Association Student Awards Selection Committee met with 50 OSU Seniors of Significance selected in the fall of 2025, choosing 23 as this year’s OSU Outstanding Seniors.
