Parking permits go on sale today; OSU offers new options
Thursday, June 15, 2006
Parking permits for the 2006-07 school year go on sale today and Oklahoma State University
is offering a number of new options in response to historic growth that will transform
our campus over the next several years. It is quick and easy for students, faculty
and staff to order parking permits online.
OSU Parking and Transit is introducing several options for faculty and staff who qualify
for parking permits in the core university area. Those options include carpooling,
the BUS, and park-n-ride.
With the start of construction on the west end zone of Boone Pickens Stadium, OSU
has announced several parking changes for the summer:
Lots surrounding Cordell Hall have been closed because of construction. Those who
normally park in that area can now park in expanded Staff parking in the lot directly
south of the Boone Pickens Stadium (Lot 6). This lot will remain open to faculty,
staff or students with a valid OSU Parking Permit during the summer semester.
Student lots (green, silver, maroon, and orange) will also be used as overflow lots
during the summer for anyone holding a valid permit. This policy will continue until
one week before school resumes.
During summer months OSU Transit Services is running modified on-campus bus schedules
using the Gold Route. Updated maps are available online.
On-line STUDENT permits are only available to students who are enrolled for the fall
semester and have a cleared bursar account. In-coming freshman must be enrolled and
have a housing assignment on file in order to purchase on-line parking permits.
To order your parking permit, check out the new parking options, view a campus map,
or find other details, go to www.transit.okstate.edu.
