Oklahoma State University Center for Veterinary Health Sciences is hosting its biannual Open House on Friday, March 30, and Saturday, March 31, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day.
The community is invited to the Veterinary Center on Farm Road on the Stillwater campus. Visitors will see live demonstrations, exhibits and the many services available to the public (see complete list attached).
A special “Teddy Bear Surgery” section will be available on Sat., March 31, from 10
a.m. to 2 p.m. Youngsters are encouraged to bring their torn and tattered teddy bears
for surgical repair. Students will practice their surgical skills as they tend to
their teddy bear patients.
“Open House gives us a great opportunity to share with the community the many educational
and research programs that are a part of every day here at the Veterinary Center,”
said Dr. Michael Lorenz, professor and dean of the Center for Veterinary Health Sciences.
“We take pride in educating the veterinarians of tomorrow and meeting the community’s
animal healthcare needs. We hope folks will join us during Open House.”
