Freshmen selected for Freshmen Representative Council

(October 13, 2008   Stillwater, OK) - Fifty-one freshmen at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater have been selected to serve this academic year on the Freshman Representative Council.

This council is the freshman branch of the OSU Student Government Association. More than 200 freshmen applied for the council, but only 51 members were selected through an application and interview process.

Members of FRC learn about all aspects of student government, sponsor and participate in community service projects, and develop various student-oriented activities. 

“The Freshman Representative Council plays a vital role within the Student Government Association by voicing concerns pertaining to the freshman class as well as contributing to the campus and community through philanthropy events,” said Jennifer Sharp, FRC coordinator. “It is an impressive accomplishment to be selected as one of 51 for the council.”

Council members for this year will be Cheyenne Allen, Newcastle; Whitney Anderson, Lawton; Jamie Andrews, Edmond; Chasity Beasler, Wellston; Becky Brandhorst, Weatherford; Megan Caudill, Oklahoma City; Jonathan Chandler, Lees Summit, Mo.; Gabe Conners, Claremore; Chelsea Edwards, Colleyville, Texas; Danielle Elias, Edmond; Katie Fielding, Cleveland; Megan Frisbie, Minco; Laura Fritze, Andover, Kan.; Hannah Geis, Shawnee, Kan.; Shane Gibson, Edmond; Danielle Goldbeck, Edmond; Randy Gordon, Seiling; Elke Grether, Perry; Jeffrey Hendrickson, Edmond; Rachel Herrmann, Stillwater; Carson Horn, Yukon; Chelsey Hunt, Fairview; Natalie Iannazzo, Tulsa; Jessica Kadavy, Edmond; Jake Keeling, Enid; and Lauren Leven, Newkirk.
