Honduras study group to share learning experiences of trip at Open House

OSU student Caitlin Cleary carries a jug of water from the community well in a village in the mountains of western Honduras. accompanied by a young village girl. The youngster showed Cleary how to draw the water and carry it on her head for the trip back to the village. Cleary, who was recently accepted into the International studies master’s program at OSU, was part of a Honduras study group led by forestry professor Thomas Kuzmic. She and the other students in the group are hosting an open house on Thursday, April 22, from 2:30 – 4:30 p.m. in room 014 South Agricultural Hall (come and go). Each student will display a poster which relates to a learning element from the study trip such as linkages between people and the land, sustainable development, Latin American culture and ideology, etc.
