Celebrate College Colors Day at Oklahoma State University
Monday, August 29, 2011
Governor Mary Fallin has proclaimed Friday, September 2, 2011 as College Colors Day in the State of Oklahoma. Oklahoma State fans are urged to show their Orange Pride on Sept. 2 by wearing their favorite OSU merchandise to school or work.
College Colors Day celebrates and promotes the traditions and spirit that make the college experience great by encouraging people across America to wear apparel of their favorite college or university throughout the day.
Additionally, College Colors Day, which coincides with back-to-school and the kick-off of college sports, advocates higher education through increased public awareness. It recognizes the achievements of colleges and universities and acknowledges their fundamental importance.
Please join your fellow Cowboys fans on Friday, September 2 and throw on your OSU gear. Show your school spirit by wearing anything orange and black – and we mean anything: hats, earrings, T-shirts, ties, watches, body paint – and show support for your beloved Oklahoma State University.
Show this State the true meaning of Orange Power.
