Sorority community searches for new organization

For the first time in decades, the Oklahoma State University Panhellenic Council is open for extension, which is the formal process used to invite a new National Panhellenic Conference sorority to colonize on campus. 

Throughout the Week of April 18, NPC sororities will come to OSU to present their organization to the community.  Presentations are open to any member of the campus and surrounding community.  OSU alumni, NPC sorority alumnae, current students, fraternity and sorority advisors, OSU faculty, OSU administrators and any other interested observers are invited to attend.  

 “The Greek Community at OSU is incredibly excited to finally be in the process of extension,” said Christine Harris, Panhellenic Council President and Chair of the Extension Committee.  “We are thrilled to have outstanding organizations present to our campus, and we are expecting strong feedback and support from all members of our Greek, off-campus, and administrative community.”

Presentations will be in the Student Union Ballroom at 7:30 p.m.  On Monday, April 18, Alpha Gamma Delta will present.  On Tuesday, April 19, Alpha Omicron Pi will present.  On Thursday, April 21, Alpha Xi Delta will present.

Following presentations, each attendee will be asked to complete a survey.  The surveys will help the Panhellenic Council Extension Committee evaluate each sorority’s presentation in order to make a final decision.  The final decision of the Panhellenic Council will be made known after April 27.

“We are looking forward to this process and hope to see another NPC chapter succeed at OSU!” Harris said.
