Robert Gates, former U.S. secretary of defense and CIA head to speak

Robert Gates, the former U.S. secretary of defense and former director of the Central Intelligence Agency, is scheduled to speak from 3:30-4:45 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 24, at Gallagher-Iba Arena.

All OSU students, faculty and staff will be admitted free by presenting an OSU ID at the door. Tickets cost $10 for the public. Doors will open at 2:30 p.m.

“Getting the opportunity to hear Robert Gates on our campus is an opportunity that OSU students, faculty and staff, and the citizens of Stillwater, won’t want to miss,” said OSU President Burns Hargis. “Having served our nation under eight U.S. Presidents allows him to share insight on national security matters that few others can provide. We’re excited to welcome him to our Stillwater campus.”
