OSU experts and programs available following Oklahoma tornadoes

Oklahoma State University has professors and experts available to speak on the impact of this week’s deadly tornadoes across the state of Oklahoma.  

·         David Neal and Brenda Phillips with the OSU Center for the Study of Disasters and Extreme Events are experts in the field of emergency management and response and recovery following disasters. See video: http://www.ostate.tv/?pid=4Cx2Qn0tM6nF

·         Sue Jacobs, associate professor in counseling psychology, is also trained as a National American Red Cross Mental Health Disaster Worker, can speak on the subject of mental health issues following disaster events.

·         Animal owners or referring veterinarians can call OSU’s Veterinary Medical Hospital in Stillwater at (405) 744-7000 to make arrangements to have their animals treated. 

·         As part of its Oklahoma Cooperative Extension Service, the OSU Department of Agriculture and Natural Resources has a tornado information website: http://www.dasnr.okstate.edu/tornado
