Public invited to drumming workshop ""share"" session

“Share” session at Seretean Friday morning

Public invited to share session Friday at 10 a.m.

The OSU Music Department is hosting the World Music Drumming Workshops on campus this week and the public is being invited to a “share” session at 10 a.m. on Friday in room 118 of the Seretean Center for the Performing Arts. Come and enjoy songs, dances and instruments from all over the world.

The World Music Drumming Workshops this week are for teachers and other group leadership professionals from 12 states including: Oklahoma, Missouri, Kansas, Iowa, Arkansas, California, Texas, New York, North Dakota, Wisconsin, Ohio and Florida. “They are here to learn how to teach the World Music Drumming curriculum, which now in over 20,000 schools worldwide,” said Julia Haley with the OSU Music Department. The Stillwater workshop is one of ten offered this summer throughout North America.
