Heitz to provide Friends of the Forms lecture

"For Love of Wisdom, Step to the Right"
Dr. Marty Heitz, associate professor in the OSU Philosophy Department, will present “For Love of Wisdom, Step to the Right” at the next Friends of the Forms lecture set for Wednesday, April 2, from 4:30 – 5:30 p.m. in HSCI 129, OSU campus in Stillwater.
Heitz, who has been with OSU for 16 years, teaches most of the Asian and Indian philosophy classes offered by the department. His research interests include Chinese philosophy, existential phenomenology and comparative mysticism. He also continues to be interested in Dialogue and Self-Inquiry, and is currently working on the teachings of David Bohm (in collaboration with Dr. Bruce Ackerson from Physics) and Iain McGilchrist.
Heitz received his BA in physics and philosophy from Lake Forest College, Lake Forest, Illinois, and his MA and Ph.D. in philosophy from the University of Hawaii at Manoa.
