OSU Wind Ensemble in concert on Thursday.

Fifty-member ensemble to offer works including Beethoven and Ravel 

The OSU Wind Ensemble will present its final concert of the spring semester Thursday, April 17, in the Seretean Center for the Performing Arts Concert hall at 7:30 pm.

Repertoire for the evening includes Military March in F by Ludwig von Beethoven, "Paraphrase" from "Symphonia Serena" by Paul Hindemith, "Le Gibet" from Gaspard de "la Nuit" by Maurice Ravel and transcribed for wind ensemble by recent OSU graduate Andrew Anderson, and David Maslanka's epic Symphony No. 4.

Dr. Joseph Missal, conductor, leads 50 of the finest graduate and undergraduate wind and percussion performers at the university in the performance of the finest wind literature.

Admission to the program is $8 for adults/$6 for students and senior citizens and are available in 132 Seretean Center during business hours. The box office will also open one hour before the performance. All proceeds benefit the OSU Department of Music.
