Thursday, April 16, 2015

Individuals and organizations were honored for their contributions to Oklahoma State University at the annual President’s Leadership and Service Recognition Reception this month in the Noble Research Center.

“Participating in leadership and service opportunities is key to the OSU experience and provides students and others valuable experience for the future,” said OSU President Burns Hargis. “I applaud and thank the many students who make a real impact on our campus and beyond.”

Nichole Brown, graduate teaching assistant in the Center for Ethical Leadership, said, “The Center for Ethical Leadership is excited to honor the individuals and groups who have represented OSU so well in the areas of community service and leadership this year.”

The event was an opportunity for the faculty and staff of Campus Life, the Center for Ethical Leadership, and the Division of Student Affairs to recognize the accomplishments of those who have committed personal time and effort to serve the campus and community.

Plaques, leadership medallions and service awards were presented to several outstanding groups and individuals during the ceremony in categories that included Volunteer and Service-Learning, International Leadership, 1 is 2 Many, Study Abroad, Center for Ethical Leadership, Cowboy Callouts, Student Union Activities Board, and Outstanding Leader and Campus Recognitions.
