OSU’s Dr. Farida Jalalzai releases new book

Dr. Farida Jalalzai, an associate professor of political science at Oklahoma State University, will speak about her latest book, Women Presidents of Latin America: Beyond Family Ties?, on Oct. 26 at 2 p.m. at the OSU-Stillwater campus.
The event is open to the public and will be hosted in Murray Hall, room 227. Jalalzai will discuss her findings for her book, which was released in August, as part of the Political Research Series sponsored by the OSU Department of Political Science.
Jalalzai also holds the Hannah Atkins Endowed Chair for the OSU Department of Political Science. She received her Ph.D. in political science from the University of Buffalo. Her research areas focus on women and minorities in politics.
