Monica Roberts has joined Oklahoma State University as director of Media Relations. She replaces Gary Shutt, who has retired. Roberts will serve as OSU’s primary contact for non-athletic related media requests moving forward.
In July, the OSU Communications office, University Marketing and Admissions Communications formally merged into the OSU Department of Brand Management, under the Division of Enrollment and Brand Management. This integrated team oversees the continuity and consistency of OSU’s messaging while garnering statewide, national and global recognition and positioning OSU as a top-rated, world-class educational institution whose land-grant mission benefits Oklahoma and beyond through research, outreach and education.
In addition to Roberts, the Brand Management leadership team includes these marketing/communications professionals:
- Megan Horton, director of Branding and Digital Strategy.
- Erin Petrotta, director of Marketing and Student Communication.
- Kurtis Mason, director of Trademarks and Licensing.
- Kelly Burley, director of KOSU.
“We are very excited to have someone with Monica’s experience in the director of media relations position,” said Kyle Wray, vice president for Enrollment and Brand Management. “Her skills alongside the skills of our other directors allow the new Brand Management department to become the prime spot for centralized communication efforts.”
The Department of Brand Management is located in 307 Whitehurst Hall on the Stillwater campus.
