CAS Awards Banquet honors students

Friday, April 19, 2019

The Oklahoma State University College of Arts and Sciences recognized its outstanding students and awarded 94 scholarships worth $215,000 during its annual awards banquet April 10 in the Student Union. The honors included the CAS Top 10 Seniors and each department's Outstanding Senior.

“This event is always so amazing because it highlights one incredible student after another,” said Jeanette Mendez, interim dean of the College of Arts and Sciences. “With more than 5,000 students across 24 departments, we have so many great scholars who are leading their peers today and will lead our society in the future. And it is such a special feeling to see their faces light up when they receive funding to help them achieve their dreams or recognition for their impressive accomplishments thus far.”

The banquet also recognized the 2018-2019 CAS Student Council Executive Officers and thanked them for their hard work.
