SGSP to honor Fall graduates at hooding ceremony

Tuesday, December 10, 2019

Oklahoma State University’s School of Global Studies and Partnerships will honor its Fall 2019 graduates at its biannual hooding ceremony Friday, Dec. 13, at 4:30 p.m. in 209 Wes Watkins Center.

This semester’s graduates include J. Geracie, United States; Carmen Hernandez, Mexico; and David Mutala, Zambia. The graduates’ advisers will present their hoods in front of family, friends, classmates and several OSU faculty and staff.

“Providing students with the opportunity to develop a global perspective through growth of leadership and critical thinking skills is an important educational value in our master’s program,” said Dr. Jami Fullerton, Director SGS Academic Programs. “We are proud of our graduates and are excited to see how they use their education to change the world.”

The event will begin with a processional, followed by the hooding ceremony and comments from each of the graduates on their time in the program and future plans. A light reception will follow. The graduates and their families will then transition to the university graduate commencement ceremony held in Gallagher-Iba Arena.

The SGSP hooding ceremony and the graduate commencement ceremony will be broadcast live through ostate.tv.
