It’s an exciting time at Oklahoma State University! When students join us this fall, we anticipate a return to normal operations. There is much to look forward to in the coming months. Many events that were cancelled due to the pandemic in 2020 are on the calendar for 2021, including OSU’s Centennial Homecoming and other in-person fall sporting events, social engagements and more.

The number of in-person classes and their locations is expected to be similar to pre-pandemic levels. With the advent of vaccines and with continued low rates of community spread, the university has lifted mask and social distancing requirements for campus. Community members may continue to voluntarily wear masks based on their own needs.

University leaders will continue to monitor the guidance from the CDC as well as from local and state health officials. Although COVID-19 pandemic restrictions are loosening, safety remains a critical part of the university’s planning process. Oklahoma State is committed to providing a safe campus, and we need everyone to continue to do their part.

You can do this by getting vaccinated against COVID-19 — appointments continue to be readily available at University Health Services.

The pandemic provided lessons in adapting, overcoming and persevering through extreme difficulties. As a university family we will go into fall ’21 with a new appreciation for a way of life we once took for granted.

We will continue to update the campus about what promises to be an engaging and rewarding fall semester.
