
Mr. and Ms. India named 2025 OSU Mr. and Ms. International

The Oklahoma State University International Student Organization crowned the 2025 Mr. and Ms. International on Nov. 7 in the Seretean Center for the Performing Arts.
Mr. India Kiran Kanth Oguri and Ms. India Ishani Pain earned the award this year following the competition. Oguri, a graduate student in management information systems, and Pain, a Ph.D. student in counseling psychology, both received individual $500 scholarships from the ISO.
ISO Public Relations Officer Sanah Nizami and 2024 Miss International Pratikshya Paudel hosted the event, with a panel of three faculty members serving as judges.
The judges were Zaira Velazquez, assistant director of student academic services for the Office of Access and Community Impact; Dr. Ho’omana Nathan Horton, teaching assistant professor in the Department of English; and Joy Garling Prud’homme, assistant director of the Office of International Students and Scholars.
The event included a talent show, a question-and-answer session, a speech from OSU President Jim Hess, a bingo competition and recognition of the International Sports League participants.
Runners-up were Mr. Nepal Anup Pudasaini, a mechanical engineering student, and Ms. Sri Lanka Sakalya De Silva, a Ph.D. student in microbiology and molecular genetics. The runners-up each received a $250 scholarship. The People’s Choice Award went to Ms. Nepal Ojaswi Subedi, a graduate student in design and merchandising.
Also competing in Mr. and Ms. International were:
- Ms. Africa Stephani Ewubajo, a graduate student in global studies
- Mr. Iran Patrick Pashna, a graduate student in business analytics and data science
- Ms. Iran Aida Aminifar, a Ph.D. student in hospitality and tourism management
The Mr. and Ms. International Pageant is our ISO’s annual celebration, designed to honor academic excellence and showcase the rich cultures within OSU's international student and scholar community.
