OSU Panhellenic reaches historic new heights in membership

Greek Life at Oklahoma State University is growing for all the right reasons.  

The Fall 2025 OSU Panhellenic community is officially the largest in OSU history with over 2,800 women now calling an OSU Panhellenic Sorority home. This year marks the highest retained class of potential new members (PNMs), with 90% of PNMs joining a chapter on Bid Day.  

“This year’s recruitment success is a testament to the community we’ve built,” said Jorja Williams, vice president of recruitment - external. “It affirms that women are looking for, and finding, a genuine sense of belonging here. For that number of PNMs to find their home is proof our focus on connection and values is working.”  

A Commitment to Value Based Recruitment 

In recent years, Panhellenic has fundamentally shifted recruiting to be value-based. This allows PNMs and chapters to connect on the basis of beliefs, morals and values rather than superficial qualities.  

Chapters have the opportunity to demonstrate how joining their chapter can enhance a PNMs college experience through leadership, personal development and building long-lasting relationships. 

The record growth is also anchored in the operational and value-based distinction of OSU Panhellenic. Earlier this year, it was recognized as one of the top in nation, placing it among other elite Panhellenic institutions like the University of Alabama and the University of Georgia.  

Deeper Roots to OSU 

The data confirms the approach in working.  

Joining a sorority gives women a better chance of being retained beyond their first year at OSU. This success is rooted in belonging. Sororities provide immediate support structures, students feel cared for and supported, allowing them to have a more meaningful experience at college. (NPC, Sorority Experience Survey).  

“This success is a direct result of the strategic commitment and tireless work put forth by our Panhellenic Executive Council and chapters,” said McKinley Paratore, coordinator for Fraternity and Sorority Affairs. “They not only met the increased demand but also delivered a superior recruitment experience that truly prioritized personal connection and student well-being from registration to Bid Day.”
