The Oklahoma State University Aviation and Space Program recently signed a memorandum of agreement with Envoy (formerly American Eagle) Airlines, offering undergraduate students and flight instructors early access to employment opportunities with the company.  The OSU-Envoy pipeline program gives current students the chance to become Envoy employees while studying and serving as flight instructor at OSU. While pursuing a degree, students can apply and interview with the company. Requirements include Instrument, Commercial (multiengine), and CFII certificates, and a 3.0 grade point average in aviation coursework with a 2.5 GPA overall. Individuals selected are immediately offered a contract to become an Envoy employee and placed on the path to becoming a pilot for the airline. Benefits include a $10,000 signing bonus/scholarship, medical benefits, 401K, travel, training and career opportunities for a two-year commitment.

Captain Nick Brice, Director of Pilot Recruitment for Envoy, and John Colquit, Envoy First Officer/pilot recruiter and OSU alumnus, visited Stillwater Monday to officially sign the agreement and visit with current students about the opportunity.

For more information about the pipeline program, please contact OSU Flight Program Manager, Lt. Col. (Ret.) Lance Fortney at (405) 744-2739 or lance.fortney@okstate.edu.
