Ph.D. Graduate, NSF Fellow Featured on National Radio Broadcast “Science Friday”

Recent Ph.D. graduate Nicole Colston was recently a guest on the Science Friday episode "Teaching Climate Change Science in the Classroom." Science Friday is a new national radio program, and discussed findings from her dissertation, which focused on the state of climate change education in Oklahoma. Science Friday is produced by the Science Friday Initiative, a non-profit organization dedicated to increasing the public’s access to science and scientific information.

Colston, who graduated in 2014 with a Ph.D. in Environmental Education, is currently a National Science Foundation Post-Doctoral Fellow and is housed in the Department of Geography at OSU. Dr. Toni Ivey, associate professor in the College of Education, served as Colston’s advisor for her dissertation, titled “Tracing the Cascade: Climate Change Actor-Networks in Oklahoma Secondary Science Education.”
