New IGSHPA Board of Directors selected

Friday, April 15, 2016

Four ground-source heat pump industry professionals have been elected by their peers to serve on the International Ground Source Heat Pump Association Board of Directors.

Board members elected were Jack DiEnna, Geothermal National & International Initiative; Mark Faulkenberry, Western Farmers Electric Cooperative; Don Penn, Don Penn Consulting Engineer and IEG Ltd.; and Cary Smith, Sound Geothermal. The board also selected Kerry Rowland, Public Service Company of Oklahoma; and Chris Smith, BMSN Consultant; to serve as Directors-at-Large.

“The IGSHPA Board of Directors has just completed its first election that changed out four members of the inaugural board,” said Bob Ingersoll, IGSHPA director. “We have also added two new members from the general sector to expand the voting members from nine to 11. This election was done in accordance with the new IGSHPA bylaws adopted in 2014 at the Baltimore Conference. This election fulfills the commitment to the membership to provide a member driven organization where all members have a vote to select their strategic leadership. It also fulfills the commitment to change out the leadership on a rotating but manageable timetable.”

The new board members join the current board members to make up a 12 person board. The new board members join the following board members to complete the IGSHPA Board of Directors: Michael Albertson, WaterFurnance International, Inc.; Garen Ewbank, Ewbank Geo Testing, LLC; John Henrich, Bergerson-Caswell, Inc.; John Turley, Middleton Geothermal Services; Dr. Dan Fisher, Oklahoma State University-College of Engineering, Architecture and Technology; and Bob Ingersoll, IGSHPA director, ex-officio.
