Andrea Haken selected as reviewer of master certification

Andrea Haken, Career Services Consultant for the College of Engineering, Architecture, and Technology (CEAT), has been selected as a reviewer for the National Career Development Association (NCDA). She will be serving as an application reviewer for those applying for the Certified Master of Career Services (CMCS) credential, which she attained in July 2018.
“[Haken] is a very experienced professional in the career development arena, and her skills are of great benefit to CEAT students and faculty,” said Lance Millis, director of CEAT academic services. “With her new role as Application Reviewer, her skills will benefit the greater community outside of OSU. We’re immensely proud that she’s taking on this role.”
Haken holds three degrees from the University of Central Oklahoma; a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology-Human Services with a minor in Human Environmental Sciences, Master of Adult Education-Training, and Master of Science in Wellness Management- Health Studies. Haken previously worked as an academic advisor and instructional developer and has been with CEAT for nine years. She holds an eLearning instructor certificate, Global Career Development Facilitator certificate and is a member of NCDA.
The CMCS credential recognizes the contributions of professionals who have mastered a variety of coaching, advising and consulting roles in the field of career services. Examples of these roles may be senior consultant, professional coach, senior advisor, senior workforce practitioner, master trainer, executive recruiter and master resume writer.
To obtain CMCS credential, applicants must obtain a minimum of a bachelor’s degree and seven years of full time work experience, or obtain a master’s degree and five years of full time work experience.
