Gov. Henry Appoints Calvin Anthony to OSU Board of Regents

Oklahoma City – Gov. Brad Henry today announced the appointment of Calvin Anthony
to the Board of Regents for the Oklahoma Agricultural and Mechanical Colleges. The
board is the governing body for Oklahoma State University, Langston University, Oklahoma
Panhandle State University, Connors State College of Agriculture and Applied Science,
and Northeastern Oklahoma Agricultural and Mechanical College,
Gov. Henry praised the 61–year-old Anthony, a longtime Stillwater pharmacist and
current chairman of the board of the Stillwater Chamber of Commerce.
“Calvin Anthony will be a tremendous addition to the Board of Regents,” the Governor
said.
“As a longtime champion of excellence in education, he possesses all the qualifications
that are certain to make him an outstanding regent. Calvin Anthony has the intellect,
experience and bold vision to help the colleges and universities governed by the board
to achieve even greater heights.”
Anthony served two terms in the Oklahoma State House of Representatives and is a
former mayor of Stillwater. A past president of the Oklahoma Pharmacists Association,
he graduated from the University of Oklahoma College of Pharmacy in 1968 and has earned
recognition as one of the leading independent pharmacists in the nation.
