OSU pre-med students guaranteed an invitation to interview

Monday, November 11, 2019

TULSA – Applying to medical school can be overwhelming and waiting for an interview just adds to the stress. Partnering with the Oklahoma State University main campus, OSU College of Osteopathic Medicine will offer the Guaranteed Interview Program to eligible pre-medical students at OSU starting this academic year.

This admission option removes the guesswork and worry over whether students will be invited for an interview, as long as they meet academic requirements.

“I am proud OSU-COM can offer the Guaranteed Interview Program to pre-med students at OSU. This increases opportunities for students interesting in practicing medicine, promotes partnership between both campuses, and guarantees students an invitation to interview with our Admissions Committee,” said Kayse Shrum, D.O., President of OSU Center for Health Sciences and Dean of the College of Osteopathic Medicine.

“OSU-COM is committed to educating and training the best and brightest to become physicians, and that means attracting those medical school applicants to our institution. The Guaranteed Interview Program moves us toward achieving that goal.”

For more information on the Guaranteed Interview Program, visit https://health.okstate.edu/com/admissions/guaranteed-interview.html.

Pre-med students who are interested in this admission option can schedule an appointment with OSU-COM by contacting Julee Wells, Director of Recruitment at julee.wells@okstate.edu.

They can also reach out to Jessica Priddy-Bullock, Director of Pre-Professional Academic Support Services in the University College at jessica.priddy@okstate.edu to learn about qualifications.
