OSU Institute of Technology provides a unique and educational experience where students can be true to themselves while earning a degree that prepares them for the workforce upon graduation.
Our unique, proven and industry-focused formula provides the opportunity for students to Be the One They Call and to Be True to You. OSUIT has a rich heritage of combining classwork and on-the-job training so that our graduates are ready to answer the call – prepared by field experts – to do what they love.
“At OSUIT, our students will find their life’s work here and will become the hero in their own story,” said Dr. Bill Path, president of OSUIT.
Be True to You applies to student Justin Stewart, who transferred to OSUIT from another college for the Associate in Applied Science in Automotive Service Technology – Pro-Tech. The program gives him the opportunity to work on more than one brand of car and will allow him to work toward his goal of one day owning his own custom car shop.
“OSUIT is a school that not only offers knowledgeable instructors, but it also offers classes that are small enough to allow a great teacher to student ratio,” said Stewart. “Having teachers that care about my understanding and learning in the classroom means so much to me as a student who has always had issues learning--in high school and also my first two years at my previous college. Now, I find myself with all A's and a member of the Kappa Phi Honors society.”
Stewart said that the statement Be the One They Call means to be the person who is the most qualified and dependable when it comes to working in the field. “Transferring to OSUIT is one of the best decisions I have ever made.”
Chellsi Payne, from Broken Arrow, is a student in the Culinary Arts program. She wanted to stay close to home for her education and then venture off after graduation.
"Be True to You at OSUIT means that, even if you're away from home, don't stop being you!” said Payne. “Be who you want to present yourself to the world as. Be a person you'd want to be proud of. I am proud to call OSUIT my college home. I've met so many wonderful people and have had amazing instructors who have shaped me into the young chef I am today.” Payne credits her recent hire as a chef at Tulsa’s Gathering Place due to her training at OSUIT. “Be the One They Call means that you need to be different from the rest. There is a level of professionalism that OSUIT implements into their students that stands out from the rest. I can 100 percent say that I got the job I currently have because of the training and connections I made at OSUIT.”
Tell Burney, a High Voltage Lineman program student came to OSUIT from Cerro Gordo, Oklahoma.
“I chose OSUIT because my sister went to school at OSU in Stillwater and I wanted to keep that tradition alive in our family but wanted to study high voltage,” said Burney.
He said that Be True to You at OSUIT means to be true to yourself. “You’re not here to impress other students, you’re here to get your education and better yourself, but don’t be afraid to lend a helping hand.”
“Be the One They Call means to me that you want to try your hardest and be the one that a company wants to hire,” said Burney. “You will learn so much from instructors at OSUIT who have been in the line of work that you are pursuing.”
At OSUIT students can pursue their dreams and begin a career in their field upon graduation.
Karina Banegas, a Culinary Arts program student from Honduras, Central America, said that choosing this school is the best decision she’s made to reach her professional goals. “OSUIT works for any kind of person, in any stage of life. Whether you’re still working, a parent or someone that needs a new career path, this place will fast track you to get you where you want to be in your career.”
Be the One They Call. Be True to You at OSUIT.
