Oklahoma State University Institute of Technology recently received a generous donation from Ford Motor Company: a 2024 Ford Bronco Sport and a 2024 Lincoln Aviator, valued at a combined $82,000.
The vehicles will be used to train students in OSUIT’s Ford ASSET program, one of the premier automotive technician training programs in the region.
These cutting-edge vehicles will be integrated into classroom demonstrations and hands-on lab exercises, providing students direct access to the latest automotive technology.
“These vehicles will be used in labs and demonstrations in class as they have new, up-to-date technology,” said Bryan Gray, Ford ASSET program instructor at OSUIT. “This contribution not only enhances hands-on learning opportunities for our students but also reaffirms Ford's commitment to shaping the future of automotive technician excellence. Together, we are driving innovation and opportunity forward.”
The Ford ASSET program at OSUIT is part of a nationwide effort to address the growing demand for skilled automotive technicians. Students in the program alternate between classroom instruction and real-world experience at Ford and Lincoln dealerships, preparing them for in-demand careers across Oklahoma and beyond.
Gray also acknowledged key supporters behind the donation: “Brendan Coursey, JT Bowers, and Ford Motor Company have provided our students with up-to-date vehicles to ensure Ford ASSET students train on the newest technology—so they can become the best Ford automotive technicians they can be.”
The donated vehicles are currently at the OSUIT campus and will be featured in upcoming student labs.
