2015 Open House a success

More than 800 visitors of all ages attended the 2015 Annual Open House at Oklahoma State University’s Center for Veterinary Health Sciences.
Open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. visitors walked through exhibits in McElroy Hall and the Veterinary Medical Hospital. Attendees could also see a variety of demonstrations throughout the day including dog agility, a horse on an equine treadmill, K-9 search and rescue, how to scope a horse, a raptor, and new this year, a duck herding demonstration.
A giant flea was created by veterinary students Jose Oyola-Morales and Debra Nguyen, both class of 2017. "Fleabiscuit" was available in the veterinary parasitology section for photo ops with younger Open House attendees.
A team of veterinary students organized the event under the advisement of Anna Teague, admissions coordinator at the veterinary center. Open House Chair and Chair Assistant were Mackenzie Jochim (class of 2017) and Kara Reinhart (class of 2018), respectively. Committee chairs and members included:
