Heath Earns Outstanding Veterinarian Award

Dr. Eric Heath, an Oklahoma State University College of Veterinary Medicine alumnus, was recently named the 2021 Outstanding Veterinarian of the Year by the South Dakota Veterinary Medical Association.
“I am so fortunate to have been able to practice with the partners, with the staff and for the clients that I have over my career. I am very honored by and thankful for being chosen for this award," said Dr. Heath in response to the award.
Heath earned his DVM from OSU in 1992. He practiced in Canistota and Miller, both in South Dakota, before moving to Winner, South Dakota, in 1999 where he became a practicing partner in the Animal Clinic Ltd. in 2000. Raised in southern Oklahoma, Heath is known for his professional excellence in providing advice and treatments for livestock.
He is a member of the South Dakota Veterinary Medical Association, Nebraska Veterinary Medical Association, American Veterinary Medical Association, American Association of Bovine Practitioners, Society for Theriogenology and the Academy of Veterinary Consultants. Heath currently sits on the Merck Large Animal Advisory Board and is active in his church and in 4-H.
