Arbor Day Foundation recognizes OSU as ‘Tree Campus’ for 10th straight year

University Arborist Caitlin Gipson, who works with the landscaping department to maintain roughly 870 acres across the Stillwater campus, said receiving the award for a decade straight demonstrates her department’s commitment to protecting the campus forest environment and all that it brings to OSU.

Virtual campus, not closed campus is new protocol for inclement weather

Starting next week, if inclement weather creates hazardous conditions, the university will announce a move to a virtual campus and virtual courses rather than a closed campus and canceled courses.

Oklahoma State University has been recognized by Oklahoma Forestry Services and the Oklahoma Urban and Community Forestry Council for achieving national certification — the Tree Campus USA designation — from the Arbor Day Foundation. It’s the eighth year in a row OSU has earned the certification.
