The United Kingdom's trade activity, both imports and exports, consistently put it in the top ten worldwide. In 2019, the U.K. was Oklahoma's eighth largest export destination and Brexit may provide opportunities to expand this relationship.

The School of Global Studies and Partnerships (SGSP), the Center for Ethical Leadership, and the American Red Cross Missing Maps jointly offered a month-long virtual leadership development program titled #GlobalLeaders – Rise to the Challenge. Fifty-four international students from 16 countries benefited from the month-long leadership program this fall.

COVID-19 is wreaking havoc globally, in the U.S. and in the state of Oklahoma. Payne County alone has 14 confirmed cases already (updated March 31, 2020). Protective gears are urgently needed for those medical and police personnel who are on the frontline of fight against the coronavirus pandemic. On March 30, the Stillwater Chinese community, led by the OSU Chinese Faculty & Staff Association (CFSA) and the Stillwater Chinese Baptist Church (SCBC), donated 7,200 facemasks to Stillwater Medical Center and another 2,400 to the Stillwater Police Department.

Oklahoma State University’s unique contribution to the development of Ethiopian higher education was recognized at a forum organized by the United States Department of State’s U.S.- African University Partnerships Forum, held in Washington, D.C. The meeting, convened by Assistant Secretary of State for African Affairs Tibor P. Nagy, brought together over 150 higher education leaders from the U.S. and from across Africa, as well as a number of Washington, D.C.-based members of the African diplomatic corp.
