Oklahoma State announces new Director of Leadership and Campus Life

Oklahoma State University has announced the hiring of Dr. John Mark Day as Director of Leadership and Campus Life. 

Day was selected from a nationwide pool of candidates and brings more than 10 years of experience as a higher education professional and has a variety of degrees, including a Bachelor of Arts in religion, a Bachelor of Arts in news-editorial journalism, a Master of Arts in media and communication and a Master of Science in news-editorial journalism. He earned his Doctor of Education in higher education leadership and policy from Vanderbilt University in May 2015.

He served in a variety of capacities at Texas Christian University, from admissions counselor to director of the first-year experience. While at TCU, he was a six-time recipient of the Senior Class Legacy Award, which is given by graduating seniors to faculty or staff they feel have had a significant impact on their lives. He has also served on numerous committees and advisory boards for local, national and international organizations.

With more than 500 student organizations on the OSU campus, the Student Union plays a fundamental role in their operations and houses the Department of Leadership and Campus Life and its organizations.
