Craig Woods, video production manager with Oklahoma State University’s Office of Communications and Marketing for OSU Agriculture, has been elected to the national board of directors of the Association for Communication Excellence.

ACE is an international professional development organization for communications professionals who extend knowledge about agriculture, natural resources, and life and human sciences.

Woods will serve as vice president, supporting ACE’s mission to advance strategic communications and outreach across public and land-grant universities and partner institutions worldwide. He will then move through the leadership ranks as president-elect, president and ex officio board member.

“I’m honored to step into the role of vice president,” Woods said. “It is a privilege to serve dedicated professionals in agricultural communications and help promote our shared initiatives into the future.”

A member of ACE since 2001, Woods has been actively involved in the organization, including serving as conference co-chair and coordinating the ACE Mentorship Program.

ACE members represent a broad range of communications disciplines, including strategic communications, writing and editing, graphic design, digital and web development, video production, photography, information technology, research, teaching and administration. The organization supports professionals who translate complex, data-driven information into practical, accessible knowledge for diverse audiences – including farmers/ranchers, families, foresters, food processors, youth, businesses, policy-makers and the general public.

Woods joins a cohort of communications leaders from universities and organizations across the country. ACE board members help guide the organization’s strategic direction and expand professional development opportunities for members worldwide.
