Oklahoma State University’s Department of Theatre will welcome alumna Talyn Edelson back to campus Oct. 30 for an open forum discussing her career and experiences working in the entertainment industry.

The event, titled “Breaking into Hollywood and the Entertainment Industry: A Conversation with Talyn Edelson,” will take place from 3:30-5 p.m. at the Locke Theatre at the Seretean Center for the Performing Arts.

A graduate of OSU’s theatre and arts programs, Edelson has built a diverse career in film, television and other creative fields, working as a stunt performer, actress, writer and graphic artist.

During the interactive discussion, Edelson will share her experiences transitioning from college to the professional world, offering insight into building a career in entertainment, navigating industry trends, networking and professional growth.

The forum will also include an audience Q&A, giving students the opportunity to ask questions about the realities of working in creative fields and how skills developed at OSU can translate into professional opportunities.

The event is open to students across disciplines and the public.
