Oklahoma State University accounting students received 15 Oklahoma Society of Certified Public Accountants (OSCPA) scholarships for the 2026-27 academic year, tops among all universities in the state.

The 15 students from the Spears School of Business were among 51 accounting students across Oklahoma selected to receive OSCPA scholarships. In total, the organization awarded more than $90,000 in financial support, with individual scholarships ranging from $1,000 to $4,000.

OSCPA provided 10 named scholarships to accounting students with significant achievements. At OSU, Karen Alvidrez Rios received the Beale Family Scholarship, Amanda Hess was awarded the Robin Byford Scholarship and Zachary Mays earned the Rick Kells Memorial Scholarship.

The OSCPA supports Oklahoma’s accounting community through advocacy, education and initiatives that strengthen the profession. The organization has served CPAs across the state for more than a century.

Scholarship applications are accepted each fall, with recipients chosen the following summer for the upcoming academic year. More information about the OSCPA Educational Foundation is available at oscpa.com.
